Father hunger drove her to abortion

Cradle My Heart Today | Kimberly’s story 2-9-18

Kimberly grew up without a dad and felt the deficit throughout her childhood. Listen now:

When a stepdad appeared, family upheaval followed.

She became a runaway at fourteen surviving the dangers of Greenwich Village, and then communal living.

She became a teen mom at 17, and had an abortion at nineteen.

Today she says, “I was desperately crying out for love.”

Finally at age 30, faith arrived through the prayer and preaching she found on Christian broadcasting, and she discovered her true identity in Christ as she began serving others.

At a youth event she led, a pro-life presentation meant for the students broke through and started the healing journey of reconciliation of her abortion.

How often a daddy-deficit drives young women into so many wrong choices, abortion included. Yet when our hearts are open and ready, God’s love breaks through to fulfill every unmet need and strengthen us in faith.

Today her childlike faith finds her satisfied in God’s love. And as she grows in faith she shares her story to encourage others.

Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me. Psalm 27:10
