Finding God’s love in abortion recovery

Cradle My Heart Today | Wendy’s story 1-2-18

Growing up without her mother left Wendy with an empty place in her heart. Listen now:

Wendy Schettig

Her father constantly said Wendy was unwanted, creating an ongoing sense of loss, and leaving her vulnerable to abortion.

Child and family psychiatrist, Philip Ney has said women dehumanized through neglect may then enter into a cycle of dehumanization by aborting children of their own.

And Wendy’s story illustrates the compounding damage abortion can do to a young woman with emotional stress.

Yet the power of God’s love broke through to bring her comfort, completion, and peace as Wendy learned the truth about her mother’s love for her.

Today Wendy is helping others learn that we were never meant to carry a burden of rejection, feeling unloved. Especially during such a vulnerable time, the pregnancy help community stands ready to provide the love and care we each deserve.

And that’s where Wendy found God’s love in abortion recovery as well.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
