Cradle My Heart Today | Michele’s Story 11-8-17
Her childhood was difficult at best. Listen now:
Grammy-nominated singer, Michele Pillar says her tutor was her childhood.
She survived the common ravages of alcoholic parents, but the ongoing lack of love drove choices which left her further away from the peace and safety she so deeply desired.
Things did improve–she made her way as a contemporary Christian artist.
Achieving her dreams of singing and success didn’t heal the wounds of the past, however, including an abortion as a teen.
And new heartaches pulled her away from the joy of expressing herself through story and song.
Yet God taught Michele how to lean on Him.
She says, “We are all damaged in some way. As a child, God met me where I hid to escape the madness of my home-life. And now he meets me on stage, as my stories help others face their stories too.”
Abortion takes the life of a child.
Nothing can change that.
But it’s also true that nothing can change God’s love for you. That means as we repent our part in the abortions in our past we can grieve with hope, lay the guilt to rest, and tell a better story going forward.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
