Abortion failed – two families blessed

Cradle My Heart Today | Kelsey’s story 10-23-2017

By the time Kelsey knew she was pregnant, that relationship was over. Watch now:

Already working two jobs, and with no support, abortion seemed her only choice.

She said a silent prayer for God to somehow protect her baby.

And somehow the procedure failed.

They said she’d need to return the next day. But Kelsey saw she’d been given a second chance—an opportunity to make a better choice.

With help of her mother, Kelsey chose open adoption for her son.

She found a strength she never knew she had. And now Kelsey mentors other young moms to consider open adoption as a loving response to what seems a hopeless situation.

She says, “In helping others, we find help to see the blessings we already have.”

An unintended pregnancy may tempt us to act out of fear. But as we find our way, those feelings can change to joy, and hope, and even finding satisfaction at accomplishing the difficult work of releasing a child for adoption or parenting on our own.

And our joy multiplies as we share in helping other young women with the help we once so desperately needed.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
