She’s helping heal abortion-wounded women and men

Cradle My Heart Today | Jody’s story 9-29-17

For twenty years, Jody Duffy was “Supermom” and appeared to have it all together. Listen now:

But on the inside, she suffered pain and regret from an abortion she’d experienced while she was on active duty military.

Jody’s abortion played a strong role in cutting short her military career.

And she now works to help service members in light of the military’s abortion policy; she proposes not to increase access, but to offer true support and alternatives to abortion.

Jody’s work engages the spiritual leadership, through chaplains and others, to address the critical needs of the abortion-vulnerable and the post-abortive within the active ranks.

Her work reflects her faith in Jesus Christ to redeem and heal those hurt, as she was, by abortion.

That healing is an essential key to effective service after abortion.

Many women try to compensate as Jody once did with super-perfect performance or overcommitting in denial of their own needs. Receiving God’s healing love releases us for effective service to others after abortion.

She is also a leader in the abortion recovery movement, serving the Silent No More Awareness Campaign as well as the Atlanta-based organization PATH, Post Abortion Treatment and Healing.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love. Psalm 107:19-21
