Daunte Culpepper blessed by both birthmom and adoptive mom Miss Emma

Cradle My Heart Today | Weekly Video 9-27-17

Many say women incarcerated need abortion because they can’t or simply don’t wish to parent. Watch Miss Emma’s story now:

But when we choose life, God will make a way.

Did you know that NFL great Daunte Culpepper was born to an unmarried teenager in jail for armed robbery?

According to adoption.com she gave him to one of the housemothers of the jail, a widow of 62 who had already raised 14 foster kids, when Daunte was a day old.

After his birthmom was released from jail five years later she claimed Daunte back, but he was so unhappy that she returned him to Mrs. Culpepper, whose name he later took.

His birthmom is now a social worker, with five other kids, and they have always been in contact.

And when Miss Emma passed away at age 92 Daunte said, “Without her I don’t know where I would be. She was an angel.”

Birthmothers always sacrifice to give their child a better life. Daunte’s birthmom gave twice. And Miss Emma sacrificed a well-earned retirment to raise a teen in her 80’s.

Such selfless giving from Daunte’s two moms is just a picture of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ to provide for our adoption as children of God (see John 1:12-13).

We may not have come to our forever family through adoption, but the truth is we all need spiritual adoption, and yearn for God’s perfect love.

For you all are sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26
