Cradle My Heart Today | Morgan’s story 9-13-17
After learning she was thrown away as a baby, Morgan wants to help others. Listen now:
She grew up happy and healthy with her adoptive parents, but after learning the circumstances of her birth, she shares her story so young mothers will know they have options.
WPTV in West Palm Beach, FL reports that newborn Morgan was rescued from a hospital dumpster by a construction worker. He thought the crying he heard was perhaps a cat that had been trapped.
Hospital staff responded quickly, and named the newborn Mary Grace because, they said, “It was by the grace of God she was found alive and well.”
WPTV arranged for Morgan to meet her rescuers when she was twenty-one, and the emotional reunion gave her the chance to do what she’d always wanted.
Simply to say, “Thanks.”
The desperation that drives a young mother to abandon a newborn may be the same force that drives abortion. Our culture says one is gravely wrong, the other a legal right.
Avoiding these heartbreaking stories lies in building communities that value life at all stages of development, and support women to carry their pregnancies to term. When parenting is just not possible, adoption is an answer everyone can live with. The pregnancy help movement is helping women and couples make life-affirming decisions every day.
In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. Psalm 71:2
