Cradle My Heart Today | Lindsay’s story weekly video 9-4-17
God’s word can convict and heal all at once. Lindsay’s abortion was twenty years past, something she’s always regretted. Watch now:
She says, “One day I read in Isaiah: Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet they shall be as white as snow. And I knew I didn’t need to hide that and leave it in the dark any longer. I could think it through and find my healing.”
Our thinking plays a huge role in recovery after abortion. We wonder if a life really was lost, or was it “just tissue”? We may fear we’re condemned. We reckon we’d be rejected if others knew the truth.
Yet, God heals our minds by assuring us mercy through Jesus Christ’s perfect sacrifice on the cross, fully atoning for our sin and soul sickness after abortion.
You don’t have to punish yourself or rely on your own understanding. Our sins have been removed.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the good things of the land;
but if you resist and rebel,
you will be devoured by the sword.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 1: 18-20)
