Cradle My Heart Today | Star’s story 8-15-17
Black women have been told if they minimize the number of children they have they can escape poverty. Listen now:
Star Parker says that’s a lie.
She knows because she had four abortions, using it as birth control.
She says, “Prior to receiving Christ, I continued to go in and out of abortion clinic after clinic until it wasn’t after the fourth time that I had a gut instinct way down deep inside that there must be something wrong with killing your offspring.”
Not only did her conscience awaken, but she was still on welfare—abortion was not improving her circumstances.
Today she says, “Abortion hurts. It hurts society it hurts babies, it hurts grandparents, it hurts potential. It hurts God.”
Today Star is working on improving lives in the black community through responsibility, self-reliance and faith.
The world has agreed with the assertion that abortion is a cure for poverty.
But this is in direct conflict with God’s word which tells us that God has formed us, and is ever available to help in every circumstance, including unplanned pregnancy, if we will only reach for his powerful plan for us.
This is what the LORD says– he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid . . . Isaiah 44:2
