Father hunger drove her to abortion

Cradle My Heart Today | Kimberly’s story 8-10-17

Kimberly grew up without a dad and felt the deficit throughout her childhood. Watch now:

When a stepdad appeared, the family upheaval led to strong rebellion at a very young age.

She became a runaway at fourteen surviving the dangers of Greenwich Village, and then communal living. She became a teen mom at seventeen, and had an abortion at nineteen.

Today she says, “I was desperately crying out for love.”

Finally at age thirty, faith arrived through the prayer and preaching she found on Christian broadcasting, and things began to change as she discovered her true identity in Christ through serving others.

At a youth event where she was serving, a pro-life presentation meant for the students broke through and started the healing journey of reconciliation of the abortion experience.

How often a daddy-deficit drives young women into so many wrong choices, abortion included. Yet when our hearts are open and ready, God’s love breaks through to fulfill every unmet need and strengthen us in faith.

Today her childlike faith finds her satisfied in God’s love. And as she grows in faith she shares her story to encourage others.

Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me. Psalm 27:10
