She thought she had aborted . . .

Cradle My Heart Today | Bette’s story Weekly video 7-9-17

In a dream Bette Noble heard a young man cry, “Mom!” She woke up praying, “Lord, help my son!” not knowing which of her sons was in need. Watch now:

Forty years earlier, as a single grad student she’d had an unplanned pregnancy.

After two abortion attempts and an emergency delivery at six months, she placed that child for adoption.

Bette, returned to her studies and went on with her life, and eventually married and had two sons. Yet, she always wondered what had happened to her faith, and to that tiny baby.

Just four days after her dream and prayer in the night, Bette got a call from Michael, who said, “I’ve been trying to find my birth mother, and your name turned up in my search.”

The search for a birthmother is often a quest to simply say, “Thank you for giving me life.”

It’s a prayer we all could also offer to the Lord, regardless of the circumstances of our birth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.     Psalm 139:16
