Cradle My Heart Today | Serrin Foster 7-13-17
Is it possible to be feminist and pro-life? Listen now:
While our culture says women need abortion rights, Serrin Foster of the campus group Feminists for Life says, “Women deserve better than abortion.”
She challenges women to live up to the feminist values of nondiscrimination, nonviolence, and justice for all, including our children yet to be born.
Serrin says, “These hallmark values defined early American feminists who fought against abortion.
“Today they’re working on campuses where pregnant students receive resources to continue their studies.”
And for women coming to grips with the abortion choice, Feminists for Life sensitively tells that side of the story too, offering love and redemption through faith in Jesus Christ.
The abortion battle in our culture often places the lives of women in greater value than the lives of children. In God’s economy all life has equal value, and is of infinite worth. We are made in God’s image and Jesus Christ lived and died to give us eternal life: women, men, children, all people young and old everywhere.
Even in the midst of the trying circumstances of an unintended pregnancy, God’s unconditional love extends to both mother and child.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. Jeremiah 31:3
