Pro-life nurses standing up for life

Cradle My Heart Today | Nancy’s story 4-28-17

One of the many myths about abortion is that it’s a private choice affecting only the woman who makes it. Listen now:

Nancy Valko knows that medical professionals are called on to make ethical decisions which may put their professional lives on the line.

As the leader of the National Association of Pro-life Nurses, she serves as a resource for nurses whose conscience rights may be violated in the medical world.

Nancy’s pro-life ethic has developed thanks to her Christian faith as well as personal experience losing three children: including an adult daughter to suicide, an infant who had a heart defect, and a child miscarried at 10 weeks. These losses strengthened Nancy’s resolve to fight to preserve life through her nursing skills and now through public policy advocacy.

Through it all she remains determined to trust God and choose life.

It can be difficult to stand up for your pro-life convictions, but nurses doing so may just make the difference between life and death.

We care about doing the right thing, not only in the Lord’s eyes but also in the eyes of other people 2 Corinthians 8:21
