Redeeming her abortion one woman at a time

Cradle My Heart Today | Kathleen’s story 4-27-17

Kathleen Bravo was on the fast track to success in her field. Listen now:

She was also in a hurry to abort a pregnancy that threatened to take it all away.

She made a same-day appointment, went through it without medicine, and it was, she says, horrific.

And when she left, her car had a flat tire.

She had to sit on the curb and wait for help. Kathleen told us that half an hour changed her life.

She says, “I was so broken. I prayed to God, ‘Just bring me one woman that I can share what I’ve been through and tell her she doesn’t have to do this.’”

Although there was much heartache, God answered her prayer when she was invited to volunteer at a pregnancy center where she found acceptance, forgiveness and hope.

And she now operates medical clinics in California working to make abortion obsolete.

It’s no coincidence that God will use our skills and talents as he restores us after abortion. Many of us get stuck in regrets, but God’s plan for your sorrow turns yesterday’s mistakes into a powerful purpose for your life.

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11 See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. 2 Corinthians 7:10-11
