Robin’s story – Unplanned pregnancy saved her life 3-6-17

Pregnant at 18, Robin admits feeling fear—about telling her parents, about finances, a ruined future and more.

Such fears drive most abortion decisions.

But Robin told Pregnancy Help News, “I still went to college. I still met the man of my dreams. I still had a life beyond my unplanned pregnancy. Were things hard for me back then? You bet they were, but all of those experiences shaped me into who I am today.”

Today Robin works in the pregnancy help community, offering life-affirming support in the face of a young woman’s fears.

She says, “No woman or child has ever died in a pregnancy center, and I know without a doubt that choosing life not only saved my son, it saved me too.

“An unplanned pregnancy doesn’t mark an end to life, it marks the beginning of a hope-filled journey.”

Robin found hope through self-sacrifice when self-preservation seemed the answer for life’s problems. God gave us his word that when we trust him with our lives we will find the Way to give up that drive for self-protection–a drive that could cost us everything.

Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:25
