Many of us feel defeated by the circumstances of our early life. If you were abused or neglected there may be a default belief that you are unworthy to be cared for and loved. But the story of Jesus Christ alive in the heart of believers is that you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13). Your past does not define your future.
Kimberly Nyborg overcame serious issues resulting from a childhood marked by fatherlessness and other serious loss. The shame she experienced growing up different from other kids she knew played out in drug use and sexual activity starting at age twelve. She became a runaway at fifteen surviving the dangers of Greenwich Village, and an abortion at nineteen, but not without the scars that continued to accumulate all because she believed a normal and stable life was outside her reach.
Finally at age 30, faith arrived and things began to change.
What Kimberly learned will inspire you to tap into the power and promise of a new life in Jesus Christ. We’ll learn about her ministry to help others discover our true identity in Christ through broadcasting, writing and speaking.
