Finding your voice to speak up about your abortion

Cradle My Heart Today | Carrie’s story 7-19-17

Choosing silence can make it almost impossible for you to approach God after abortion. Watch now:

Carrie was a young mom overwhelmed by the demands of her two young sons.

When she found herself pregnant again, Carrie chose abortion, thinking it would relieve the pressure and help her be a better mom.

She also chose to keep it secret, fearing judgment from her church and other family members.

In the aftermath Carrie had a hunger and thirst to be made right with God.

Soon the safety of silence became a prison for locking away the pain.

Yet Carrie has learned that even though a wall of silence shrouds our hearts, leaving us feeling isolated and alone, the love of Jesus Christ can free us to live another way.

Finding your voice after abortion may require courage and emotional clarity–something most of us lacked when we chose abortion.

We may fear disappointing family and friends. And there is no guarantee that we’ll be accepted. But consider this: if you don’t find your healing which will free you to speak, how will you warn others of the many dangers of abortion?

From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2
