Cradle My Heart Today | Becky’s story 6-15-17
Becky was relieved to find a job in her field of counseling right out of college. Listen now:
She says, “With my undergrad in psychology and a quarter, I still couldn’t get a cup of coffee!”
However she soon had to quit that job after she realized she’d been hired to sell abortions rather than actually counseling women seeking them.
Determined to do better, she started a pregnancy help center where her skills could make a real difference in the lives of women in crisis.
Becky says, “I never had an abortion, but what I saw in that abortion business opened my eyes to how brutal abortion truly is. I don’t want any woman to ever have to make that choice.”
Like Becky, many women have been drawn into supporting or participating in abortion because of the intentionally deceptive language used to obscure what abortion actually is, and what it does to those it touches.
When truth dawns it may be personally shattering. But God’s word says that when we have the light of truth our actions then should line up with that truth. And that includes the obligation to help others avoid abortion and make a better choice.
[F]or at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Ephisians 5:8-11
