Cradle My Heart Today | Connie’s story 5-8-17
You’ll never finish college, they said, and how will you ever make it to law school? Listen now:
Connie was deep into her senior year when a one-night stand led to a pregnancy. With no way to find the father, Connie sought help, only to be told she must abort to protect her future.
She knew she couldn’t do that, so Connie saw the pregnancy through and placed her child for adoption.
Connie not only finished college but she went on to a very successful career in corporate law.
Years later her son found her, and Connie learned that she was a grandmother.
Since she had never married the reunion was doubly sweet. Connie now counsels women who are pregnant that they can stay in school, and they can look forward to the future with a beautiful hope.
When an unintended pregnancy intrudes on our plans, it can be tempting to take the easy way out through abortion. But those who offer that solution seldom inform a woman that there is another life at stake. God knows the pressures we face. Connie found that her fears faded as she placed her trust and hope in God to see her through her unplanned pregnancy.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
