Stronger together in an unplanned pregnancy

Cradle My Heart Today | Maggie’s story 5-2-17

One of the little-known tragedies of abortion is that the actual decision is often made by those other than the mother. Listen now:

Boyfriends, husbands, family members and friends play a huge role in a woman’s decision.

Maggie is a prime example. Pregnant as a young teen, she connected with a local pregnancy help center to say she wanted to carry her baby to term and cherish the life entrusted to her by God.

But her parents were ashamed that their daughter was pregnant, and were pressuring Maggie to abort.

Maggie learned about her legal rights in pregnancy, and her rights to protect herself and her baby against the demands of her parents. And in time, her parents came to agree with Maggie’s choice. For life.

Pregnancy seldom unfolds in isolation. The pregnancy help movement is saving lives every day by offering real-time love and support when it’s needed most. This stabilizing influence strengthens her, and often restores relationships throughout a young woman’s circle of family and friends.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might . . . Ephesians 6:10
