When choosing life takes real courage

Cradle My Heart Today | Ryan’s mom’s story 4-26-17

His mother was brutally raped. Listen now:

And the year was 1970. Although abortion wasn’t legal, many women could find one back then too.

But Ryan Bomberger’s mom chose life.

Today, Ryan says, “I’m the fringe case even pro-lifers have a hard time embracing. But when we believe in the sacredness of human life from the moment of conception, the circumstances do not matter..”

He says, “Despite the horror of being raped, she courageously chose to give me life. There will never be enough words to thank her.”

Ryan’s adoptive parents cherished and nurtured his life, and today Ryan says, “Adoption unleashes purpose because no child is ultimately unwanted.

“Every life is wanted by someone.”

We cannot diminish the suffering and injustice of rape. Women deserve the full force of the law to bring criminal charges against offenders and to enact the full consequences of every protection the law allows.

But even after rape, children remain innocent and their lives deserve protection.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. . . Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. . . Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12: 17,19,21
