Cradle My Heart Radio Encore Presentation with Princeton Professor Robert George
Robert George is the author of Embryo – A Defense of Human Life.
He also serves as the McCormack Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University. His legal education also includes Harvard and Oxford universities. He joined us to discuss the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, and his article for First Things pinpointing the main problem with the Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion:
“As with Roe, the US Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision [stripping slaves of basic human rights] lacked any warrant in the text, logic, structure of original understanding of the Constitution. It was, as Abraham Lincoln rightly insisted, an act of judicial will, not law, and as such an assault on the very Constitution in whose name the justices purported to act.”
In calling for defiance of the Roe v. Wade decision, George advocates for incremental legislation to protect the unborn, banning funding of abortion services, supporting candidates who will uphold life, and devoting ourselves to the cause at the local level through our witness and support of the pregnancy help movement.
