Cradle My Heart Today | Leslie’s story 3-27-17
Every year in the US, one in 30 kids will be homeless. Listen now:
Mostly these kids have single mothers. Pregnancy Help News reports that Leslie was herself homeless and on drugs when she discovered she was pregnant.
She found recovery in a maternity home, gave birth there, and then moved to a shelter.
But everything changed with Bridge of Hope—a long-term housing and support program bridging the gap for single moms. Leslie says, “One thing I’ve learned since going through all this is that having people in your life keeps you going on the path you want to be on.”
Could something as simple as affordable rental housing stop the cycle of poverty and despair which drives so many young women to abortion?
Helping women find their home can truly be the difference between life and death of a child.
[T]he Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love. Psalm 147:11
