Mary Kay joined hundreds who affirmed the joy of children whose lives were neither planned nor perfect according to the world’s standards in advance of the March for Life in Washington, DC this year.
Many said these were children who taught them unconditional love, and these were children who truly had made their families complete, despite what they had planned before they arrived.
They’ve learned the secret of God’s plan for each member of the human family, so vividly illustrated by the apostle Paul picturing members making up the body of Christ. His exhortation for unity among believers suits us well in thinking of extending love to those with special needs: But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary. (1 Corinthians 12:20-22 KJV) We are all needed in God’s plan.
