Thirty years ago Vicki Thorn couldn’t have foreseen that she would be at the center of a movement involving millions of women and men in need of healing and hope.

She simply knew that people were suffering after abortion and she wanted to do something to help.

It’s a dramatic story of listening to the pain of a friend who shared the hurt she experienced as a teen who had been sexually victimized by a family member. A forced abortion followed. It was too late to think about the moral dilemma of whether or not it would be best to abort the child of a very young teen. But her friend’s pain and grief echoed down through the years and deeply impressed Vicki’s heart.

As it turned out, the abuse was ongoing and there was a forced release for adoption too. But, as her friend said, “The adoption I can live with. The abortion forever broke my heart.”

From that caring friendship, Vicki has been motivated to create a safe place within the church for women and men to seek healing through the Project Rachel outreach. She has also become an expert on not just the spiritual and emotional impact of abortion, but the physiological aftermath as well. You may be surprised at her findings about microchimerism, the physical bond between mother and child which remains even after abortion. You likely have not heard her findings about how hormonal birth control can wreck female desire. But above all, you will definitely be impressed by the caring insights which come straight from the heart.

    Hello Vicki and supporters .
I am torn by what is being done by our government , namely by Session’s and Trump at the border where children are being ripped from their parents . A few people have been able to visit these centers and see these children crying night and day for their parents . No
Moral country has the right to do this , as a Catholic and person who has their masters in child development we cannot allow this to happen . Sessions says this the law, there is not law .
Will you please speak up about this , it is a grave sin for
Our country to treat these living children and despert parents the way we are currently doing
Please, please support living children and parents with the same zeal that you do the unborn . They too are helpless and need us . May God direct you to do what is right .
    Thank you, Jane
